Raleigh, N.C. (April 19, 2010) – The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission will hold a public meeting to hear comments on a proposal to remove 282 acres of archery-only area immediately west of the Hyco Power Plant on Hyco Game Land in Person County, and add 288 acres of new archery-only area in the same general vicinity. 

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 26 in the W.H. Barker Community Building at Hyco Lake Park. To get there, take Kelly Brewer Road (SR1313) south off of N.C. 57; after approximately 0.65 miles, turn right on Pointer Road; turn left toward the boat ramps and continue around; then, turn left toward campground, the Community Building is on the left.
