RALEIGH, N.C. (Oct. 27, 2005) – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission will hold a public meeting to discuss largemouth bass management objectives and angler access at Lake Mattamuskeet on Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Mattamuskeet High School cafeteria in Swan Quarter. “Using recent fish surveys, we will discuss management options that may enhance the fisheries resources at Lake Mattamuskeet,” said Kevin Dockendorf, fisheries biologist with the Wildlife Commission. Bruce Freske, manager of the Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge, will discuss various projects at the refuge to improve fishing access.
