This transmitter
is still active. However the swan has shown no movement since
early November 2001. There is a possibility that the swan died
while on it's southward migration. However, we believe that it
is likely that the transmitter/collar was lost. We have observed
this on several of our satellite marked swans. We hope to remedy
this by modifying our transmitter/collar attachment method for
the swans marked in winter 2002.
