Quarterly North Carolina Recreational Freshwater Fishing Angler Expenditure Survey

The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is conducting a study to estimate the economic effects of freshwater fishing on North Carolina’s economy. We are surveying a random selection of freshwater anglers after every quarter during 2017. Currently we are surveying freshwater anglers about their fishing during Dec. 1, 2016 to Feb. 28, 2017. If you received a survey, please complete the survey today!

Your response to this survey will help us understand the effects that freshwater fishing has on North Carolina’s economy. In turn, this will help us manage our freshwater fisheries more effectively and promote the importance of freshwater fishing across North Carolina.

This survey is voluntary. However, your help is vital to our fisheries-management work. Results of this study will be reported only as summaries and no reference will be made in oral or written reports that could link you to the study. If you prefer not to respond, please let us know by returning the blank survey in the enclosed business reply envelope (no postage necessary) so that you do not receive follow-up reminders and surveys.

If you have questions or comments about this study, please send an email to kerry.linehan@ncwildlife.org or call me at 919-707-0339. Thank you very much for your help.
