Donations to the NC Wildlife Resources Education Programs will benefit:
NC Wildlife Resources Education Centers
Donations help provide free wildlife programming at one of our four education centers . Schools, scout groups, home school groups, church groups, hiking/gardening clubs, after school programs, camps, and the general public learn about wildlife and conservation through topics ranging from mountain habitats to outdoor skills.
Becoming an Outdoor Woman (BOW)
Donations fund partial scholarships for women to attend multi-day workshops. The BOW program offers women 18 and older opportunities to learn skills that enhance and encourage participation in hunting, angling and other outdoor activities. Skills offered in the BOW program may include, but are not limited to, Outdoor Cooking, Fly Tying and Fishing, Canoeing, Hunter Safety, Archery, and Firearms Usage.
Donations help purchase equipment and supplies used for the instruction of youth and new hunters during free courses offered by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission. Courses include information about hunter responsibility, wildlife identification/conservation/management, firearms, survival and first aid, specialty hunting and tree stand safety.
