Youth 11 and younger who participate in the scavenger hunt will receive a free tackle box and a chance to enter the youth drawing to win prizes such as fishing poles and life jackets.
The event is co-sponsored by the American Fisheries Society and Friends of State Parks.

“The Wildlife Commission and Jordan Lake State Park invite families to a free, fun-filled and educational day for the public,” said CC King, an educator with the Commission. “Rain or shine, we will fish and have fun.
“The diversity of anglers at last year’s Fishing Fiesta made it a unique family event,” King said. “Everyone is welcome and the whole family can fish free for the day, buy lunch from one of the food trucks or bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the large pavilion.”
