Eastern Piedmont Region Boating Access Areas

Below you will find a table that contains directions to Eastern Piedmont Region boating access areas maintained by the NCWRC. This table lists the boating access area name, county, detailed directions, and any important user notes about the launch ramp or access channel. In addition, there is a column that notes the accessibility of the access area. If there is a wheelchair symbol in the access column, this means that the boating access area is considered fully accessible due to the designated disabled user parking, paved walkways leading to the launch ramps, and barrier free docks.

Falls Lake To determine the current depth of water on a particular ramp subtract the bottom of ramp elevation provided on the sign (jpg) for a particular access area from the current lake level. The current lake level can be obtained from various print and news media and the Corp of Engineers Web site.

Turn left onto SR 2314 and travel 0.5 miles to SR 2530 (Progressive Church Road), Turn right onto SR 2530 and travel 4.6 miles to SR 1007 (Brogden Road). Turn left onto SR 1007 and travel 0.5 miles to SR 1201 (Richardsons Bridge Road). Turn right onto SR 1201 and travel 1.9 miles to the area. Access road to area will be located on the right. x	Wayne	Cox's Ferry	Beginning from the junction of NC 581 and US 70A in Goldsboro, travel NC 581 for 3.5 miles to SR 1007 (Old Smithfield Road). Shearon Harris Lake

Turn left onto SR 1912 and travel 0.4 miles to Cross Point Road. Turn right onto Cross Point Road and travel 0.4 miles to the area. The area will be located at the end of the gravel road.
