The NCWRC manages more than 200 boating access areas (BAAs) across the state, that are free of charge to the public, and open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. New areas are being established continuously and most are ADA-compliant for boaters with disabilities.

Paved parking lots and walkways provide access to the water.
