Celebrate Hunting, Fishing and Wildlife Conservation in North Carolina

Join the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission on Sept. 26, 2015 as we celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day in North Carolina.  The Commission is hosting or supporting free, family-oriented events that highlight our state’s extraordinary hunting and fishing heritage and remarkable wildlife conservation efforts through the years.

Interactive activities and demonstrations vary for each event, but all provide unique opportunities for participants of all ages to connect with nature and test their outdoors skills. A few of the activities include:

  • Fishing;
  • Archery;
  • Air rifle range;
  • Rifle and shotgun shooting range;
  • Reptile and amphibian exhibit;
  • Raptors exhibit;
  • Outdoors cooking;
  • Tracking and game recovery;
  • And much more!

* The Greenwing National Hunting and Fishing Day event at Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge requires a $25 registration fee per participant. The Greenwing Fishing Event at McKinney Lake Fish Hatchery requires a $20 registration fee per participant.
