GRAHAM, N.C. (Dec. 28, 2017) — The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission will conduct a public hearing in Graham on Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. to take comments on proposed changes to 35 agency regulations related to wildlife management, fisheries and game lands for the 2018-19 seasons. The public hearing will be held at the Old Alamance County Courthouse located at 1 S.E. Court Sq. in Graham.
Three proposed changes of interest to deer hunters statewide will:
Establish five deer season zones by separating the Eastern Zone into two zones — the Northeastern Zone and the Southeastern Zone. This regulation would also move Polk and Rutherford counties to the Western Zone and Cleveland County to the Northwest Zone (see proposed deer seasons zone map).
